‘Hands Across America’ played on hearts; ‘Arms Locking America’ protects the nation’s heart

‘Arms Locking America’ protects the nation’s heartIn 1986, deluded youth (myself included) thought they could change the world by listening to a feel-good song while forming a line that stretched from sea-to-sea across America. Undeniably, it was a moment of believing that Americans could actually work together to benefit humanity, even if it was for the hour or so standing side-by-side chatting about mundane things and enjoying the company of strangers. But it was a passing encounter that didn’t sink into the hearts of participants because, after the brief fellowship, most hiked back to their vehicles and drove off to their everyday lives, having actually changed nothing except experiencing a short respite from the daily grind.

We would all need to be armed to the teeth, these cartels are already killing the border patrols they come across they have even used drones etc. to see where they all are, 9000 time this year alone so far. We have what should be called a war already and we need the military to clear these people out and attack and take Mexico and further south for encouraging this horror

Dru,
A delayed comment on this, your most recent posting, on CFP. Yes, in 1986, the times were different and a "feel good" initiative like the one described, would leave the participants with a feeling of accomplishment. What was accomplished you ask? Maybe just the feeling that something was possible...a feeling which has been, unfortunately, weaned out of many minds and current thought processes.
Your article, as always, has identified and highlighted a number of problems that have been and continue to cause great concern...with the continuing clarity your many readers have come to expect, when they open your articles.
How to get that feeling back again? Start with a prayer. It's as good a place as any...imHo.
James
