‘Hands Across America’ played on hearts; ‘Arms Locking America’ protects the nation’s heart

In 1986, deluded youth (myself included) thought they could change the world by listening to a feel-good song while forming a line that stretched from sea-to-sea across America. Undeniably, it was a moment of believing that Americans could actually work together to benefit humanity, even if it was for the hour or so standing side-by-side chatting about mundane things and enjoying the company of strangers. But it was a passing encounter that didn’t sink into the hearts of participants because, after the brief fellowship, most hiked back to their vehicles and drove off to their everyday lives, having actually changed nothing except experiencing a short respite from the daily grind.

The '80s embodied a self-indulgent time where the ‘70s Jesus Movement was fading into the background, a flash of enlightenment quickly overshadowed by the yuppie pursuit of personal gratification. “Hands Across America” thought to bring together popular culture and altruism. An outgrowth of a marketing venture for a nonprofit, it targeted individuals who wanted to believe they were doing something to make the world a better place. In the end, it was little more than a placebo that was quickly forgotten. The result of showing up at a rally or making a one-time gift to an apparent good cause (many of the philanthropic organizations weren’t – nor are they now where proceeds fund administrative costs more than programs) was a fleeting emotional lift that didn’t change the direction of the corporatist millionaires, soon to become billionaires, that had already insinuated themselves into a place of power. Trouble was, the average citizen hadn’t yet awakened to the manipulation that was beginning to crash around their ears. The billionaires rose in control, managing governments (institutionalizing the European Union, World Economic Forum (WEF), and pocketing politicians domestically and internationally) while jobs were outsourced and the dollar steadily lost its buying power, continuing to drive the world to the economic brink it now faces. It’s time to redirect the power of the individual from an emotional high of joining hands in a show of false peace to the practical implementation of individuals combining forces to block a treasonously sanctioned invasion. Biden has been underwriting this human onslaught and already illegally loosed more than 836,000 migrants into the nation’s interior.

Arms Locking America

Proposed is “Arms Locking America.” The double enténdre of “arms” should be evident. Not only are American citizens in a position to form another line from “sea to shining sea,” locking arms along the land border with Mexico, but it is a call to arms by visibly invoking the Second Amendment. This is not an invitation to violence. It is an invitation to stand strong to protect our border from millions of uninvited (except for the unauthorized welcome mat set out by the Biden administration) nation-crashers. Calling once more on history of roughly a decade ago, this is a reminder of when constitutional militias came to the southern border to patrol and be conspicuously armed as a deterrent to the illegal caravans and cartels that were attempting to enter our country. Could it be time to form a barricade of vehicles and individuals, symbolically linked arm-in-arm, all across the border with Mexico to turn aside the hordes that are congregating to flood our streets, cities and overwhelm public services? The federal government and half the border states are encouraging the continuing invasion of humanity rife with sex traffickers, drug smugglers, slavers and terrorists that are inflicting egregious pain and suffering both among the exploited immigrants and American citizens. Former customs commissioner, Mark Morgan, goes so far as to pin Biden with relinquishing control of the border to the cartels that helped usher a record-breaking 221,000-plus illegals into the USA in March alone.

May 23, 2022 is the target date set by Biden to remove what’s left of the Trump era policies to slow illegal border crossings by lifting Title 42. With midterm elections in sight, a growing number of democrats are disparaging the decision, pointing out the obvious that the administration has no plan to manage the hundreds of thousands of immigrants lining up in Mexico, preparing to surge into the United States. The hypocrisy of continuing to force vaccine mandates on the military and appeal a ruling to remove masks on public transit but junk Title 42 rules to bar possible carriers of disease, Covid in particular, has not been lost on officials fighting for their political lives. At this juncture, when government will not act to protect America, its federation of states or the citizens from the extreme danger imposed by this invasion, then the individuals must take up the cause themselves. If God, Family and Country are what citizens have vowed to defend and preserve, then citizens must rise to perform their duty if government will not. It is the reason the Founders included the Second Amendment, to ensure the ability of citizens to undertake their own defense when the government is compromised and, as obviously in this case, has situated itself as the enemy of the People. The domestic enemy is not parents or adherents to the Constitution. It is the government, administrators and self-serving politicians who have abandoned their post and their sworn oath to protect and defend the United States from enemies of the People, we who are the United States of America. If the federal or enough state governments will not fully protect the border then let them stand aside. The American People will step up, locking arms to rebuff an unlawful invasion to preserve the Union for posterity that will include legal immigrants, like our antecedents who wished to become America, not destroy it.
