“They pick our grapes” or “They do our tech” may be a good argument for automation, but for immigration it’s Marxist to the core

Hidden Marxism: Treating Immigrants Like Robots

No matter which prominent side wins in our immigration debates, the U.S. loses for a simple reason: The contest pits people who hate the point against people who miss the point.

On one side are the large-I Immigrationists, individuals who behave as if immigration is always good, always necessary, must never be questioned and must be the one constant in an otherwise ever-changing universe of policy; they’re usually identified as “leftists.” On the other are small-i immigrationists, people who believe immigration is generally good, generally necessary, should never be questioned in principle and must in some form be the one constant in an otherwise ever-changing universe of policy; they’re usually identified as “conservatives.”

Stop people from entering, stop all public benefits to non citizens, deport everyone we find, every time we find one and prevent anyone from entering America until the current batch are fully INTEGRATED INTO THE AMERICAN WAY!!! And for an ADDITIONAL SEVENTY FIVE YEARS AFTER ASSIMILATION. They must all submit and assimilate. If you towel heads and the rest can't do those two things leave now and never return!

I wrote this back in 2017:

Re: Home grown terrorists.

There was a time when there was an expectation that immigrants came with the intent to assimilate into their new society. There was never a problem with retaining some customs, foods, holidays, religion, etc. Those are personal, and when additive to the prevailing culture, can be an enrichment for all.
Today, we have come to a practice where groups are allowed to immigrate without integrating. They live together to the exclusion of others. They seek to retain all of the customs and practices of their former homes to the exclusion of the culture that exists in their new surroundings.
They think that by coming here (or England, France, etc) they can live the lifestyle of their former place......just with "more stuff". THIS CAN NOT BE ALLOWED. Culture clash is the inevitable result of such practice. It is not the duty of the receiving culture to yield to the immigrant. When one immigrates to a new land, it is incumbent on the immigrant to adjust to the existing customs and mores. Young people raised in these closed ghettos of anti American sentiment present the same risk of radicalism as their counterparts raised in the "old country".
As long as we allow these undiluted islands of anti American culture, we have no right to be surprised when young people born there become radicalized as "home grown" terrorists. Just like weeds in a garden, we allowed them to grow here.
