As usual, armchair generals continue to opine on how the Gaza War and its resolution came to pass.
During the first press avail, October 13, 2025, with Egyptian president, General Al-Sisi, and President Trump, Trump said that this historic Middle East peace deal would not have occurred if not for the United States’ strike to decimate Iran’s nuclear capacity. His words did not affirm the narrative of Netanyahu mockers. He was pointing out how Operation Midnight Hammer demonstrated the lethal capabilities of the US military that finally compelled Middle East states to engage in the president’s peace negotiations, forcing Hamas to buckle.
