In an effort to be transparent – an overused and abused term – be it known that technology is not my wheelhouse but it has become necessary for individuals like myself to become better acquainted with how algorithms are being applied to manipulate human interaction. This means improving understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) which appellation sounds more benign than it is.
Touted as the next wonder of the world, LLMs are infiltrating education, marketing and religion by compiling intel through program input and collecting universal content to build a knowledge cache developers say will surpass human capacity. From this data repository, LLM “brains” are being credited with the ability to create novel aesthetic and biological products. Chatbots can, and expect to be, used to compose essays, reports, advertising and artworks.

As always you bring up subjects that are well written with common sense.
I have finally decided that we must get a bigger or more of them - International Space Stations and fill them with this AI and all these destructive to human life people (who have or are stealing all the money and power) who have decided themselves that they are so intelligent and should be boss/God along with their unthinking zealots/converts.
Not to continue circling the earth though head the whole works to some uninhabited planet that can be all theirs, AI can take it over and run them, and AI maybe does not need oxygen or clean water, certainly can be made so I imagine and just needs energy not food so they can all develop this on the way there to their new home far away from people who just want to stay human, love their children and live in peace with all our normal warts and pimples with God to protect his inventions beautiful life.

"God" is in our human interpretation of what is observed and understood. We have continuously chased God farther and farther from immediate phenomena and now have "him" hiding somewhere at the sub-quark level. Of course neither we nor our AIs will ever arrive at a final definition of God because we are of the created universe - however one would define "creation" - and can no more understand our creator than the best machine will ever know its human designer. I like the author's suggestion that ideas are given, never conceived, coming from a spirit (Trust the Force, Luke) because our brains are just a collection of live cells capable of processing given information.
The notion that blood is our basic essence is naive considering that life as we know it is defined by DNA - RNA is a useful construction tool but species are defined by their DNA. Much greater complications cloud the picture when we are forced to recognize that however deeply we delve into the structure of matter/energy, there is always some blueprint for that level of being to arrange itself into something higher. At some level beyond our scientific capabilities there must lie a Master Instruction and some indivisible substance - our ultimate God.
