I find myself wondering why half of our country is so certain the sky is falling? Could it be that they have been taught since birth that the only road to a peaceful resolution of any conflict is by backing down? Are they taught that when confronted by a bully on the school yard they should walk away? This course of action guarantees the bully will be back again and again to show his superior strength. There is another option. If that bully believes they will get beat up, they are very unlikely to throw the first punch. Bullies don't like getting hurt. Sometimes it takes one push back to solve the problem, sometimes it only takes messing with the bully's head, making him afraid to push you around. As a country, we have seen the results of walking away. It has gotten us nowhere. Now, we are already seeing the bullies rethinking their strategies. It's not a bad thing for them to think that Trump won't be pushed around. That's more than half the battle right there.
