I already told my kids never take me to a hospital, I already refuse to even see a doctor ever again. I want to decide with God and my children and die at home. My neighbor did just this we sat with her as I had help care for her with her daughters who usually had to be at work. She somehow knew this day was the day she would die and so it happened. No hospital or doctor she said, not till I am dead. Brave lady.
We all must hope our deaths are with God and family not these new kind of uncaring Doctors, too busy hospitals. What was it the Ontario Premiere McGuinty said something like "Doctors are just eye candy"?

I just lost my husband of 63 yrs to Cancer. I nursed him & never left his side for over 4 months (day & Night). My son-in-law stayed with us to make sure I ate.
I kicked out the Nurse Practioner out of my house the second day, he said he was there to comfort my husband but all he talked about was his death. The VON nurses were great but I stayed & asked what they were doing. I bathed my husband & even took over giving him his medicine, took his blood pressure, oxygen levels etc. He had bone cancer was not in pain (Thank you God) & only had morphine on the day he died. Our family doctor & our Cancer doctor from the clinic knew how close my husband & I were & called me often to see how we were. We need more of these caring Doctors.
My husband & I soul mates & we spent our whole lives loving & laughing & went everywhere together.
When I read about Trudeau & Schwab, I thought my mother always said "What goes around, Comes around"

We have aborted an entire generation of children who were supposed to pay it forward for retirees. I knew years ago we would end up here. Since we killed off the children like we did, now we're top heavy with gray hairs, that need to be killed off. How many of the gray hairs we're those who voted for abortion in 1973? I remember exactly when I first heard of this legislation, listening to CBC-radio in the car. The road, the way the day looked ... all of it, I remember as clearly as the breakfast I just ate. The reason? I knew all the platitudes supporters of the bill were spouting had been used before to pass other legislation -- that of legitimizing abortion. By the time "assisted suicide" was becoming law, the abortion 'industry' had gone from, "only in very rare cases" to 'abortion on demand'. There was every expectation that euthanasia would follow suit. And now we have something called 'post-birth' abortion. Purely evil infanticide. Listen, for those who believe the Bible is the true Word of God, we know that tribulation is coming and coming fast. These dystopian laws are being put in place not by human beings, solely, but at the behest and urgings of the Evil One, who knows his time is now short. He is about to pull out all the stops and this world will spin into the worst nightmare imaginable from which there is no waking. So why am I sitting here calmly writing this post? Because, dear people, there is a way out of all this. And before you write me off as a lunatic, what I am about to say cannot be any more lunatic than the news of the day. Here is the Good News: "God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." Give your life to Jesus and do it today. Why today? Because time IS short. He is coming soon to take all believers with Him to heaven in an event called the Rapture. So, let me get this straight...
We have a growing mental health problem...
There are too many citizens who are looking for work...
Rent is increasingly unaffordable...
We continue to have an increasing homelessness problem...
And instead of helping people to get back to work the government's idea of helping its own citizens is to USE TAXPAYER MONEY TO ENCOURAGE POOR PEOPLE TO DIE BECAUSE THEY ARE EXPECTED TO BE ROBBED OF THEIR DIGNITY?
Every time I think Canada can not get any more dystopian the government surprises me
(Just a note: Trudeau gets all the flak for government decisions but since the Liberals have a minority government that means the Conservatives, NDP and the senate are voting in favor of legislations like this, just something to keep in mind for the next election)
