Islamic State has taken responsibility for the suicide bombing yesterday of the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England, that left at least 22 people dead and 59 others wounded, reports John Rossomando of the Investigative Project on Terrorism. Many of the dead and injured are young girls.
Islamic State, also known as ISIS, ISIL, and Daesh, boasted Tuesday about its involvement in the Muslim terrorist attack, referring to the now-aerosolized bomber as a “soldier of the Caliphate.”
“Worse and more harmful is coming upon the Worshippers of the Cross and their friends with the permission of God. Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds,” the statement said.
