It has become common for the term "Islamophobia" to be applied to those who are willing to speak out against Islam and the violent acts committed by Muslims across the world in the name of that religion. The term itself, according to Claire Berlinski (see berlinski.com), was created by The Institute for Islamic Thought which is located in Northern Virginia and is reported to be a front group for the Muslim Brotherhood. By its very nature, the word attempts to assign some sort of mental dysfunction to any who oppose Islam as the definition of a phobia is as follows:
