Israeli Defense Force says the rocket that hit a hospital in Gaza that killed hundreds of people was *not* their rocket.

Israel released a statement on their official X account stating that the rocket was fired by "the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization."

"From the analysis of the operational systems of the IDF, an enemy rocket barrage was carried out towards Israel, which passed through the vicinity of the hospital when it was hit."

"According to intelligence information, from several sources we have, the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization is responsible for the failed shooting that hit the hospital."

The Guardian is reporting that between 200-300 people were killed in the explosion. Some reports say that number is higher.
