This submission proposes wide-ranging reforms to protect constitutional freedoms, limit government overreach, and strengthen democratic accountability


Our new submission calls on Parliament to defeat Bill C-22, the Lawful Access Act. This sweeping surveillance legislation would lower the legal threshold for identifying Canadians online, force providers to retain metadata for up to six months, and give government alarming new powers to access personal digital information.

Canada’s Parliament and Senate have enormous power to either protect freedom or erode it. As Parliament returns on September 21, 2026, and as the Senate returns on September 28, 2026, Canadians should expect their elected representatives to make freedom a priority.
