You should read this book by MATTIAS DESMET. He has the very odd combination of one PhD in Psychology and another in Statistics. You may or may not agree with 100% of what he sez, but I can assure you that he does have an answer to every question you've ever had, about what is going on in the Western World right now. I have not found a single statement in his text that I disagree with. His work builds on that of several other really Smart Cookies.

As you may have guessed by now the book itself is not an easy read. If you are among the approximate 10% of the population with an IQ of 115 or higher you will likely need to reread a few sections to fully understand them. If you are part of the 2% with an IQ of 130 or greater, you’ll still find some of the material difficult. The difficulty is that it includes many very foreign concepts that simply ‘do not stick well’.
