VANCOUVER—Long waits for surgery and medical treatment cost Canadians $2.1 billion in lost wages last year, finds a new study released today by the Fraser Institute, an independent, non-partisan Canadian public policy think-tank.
It’s estimated more than one million Canadians waited for medically necessary treatment in 2018.
