Bus travel on the rise during holiday; Megabus.com expects 25 percent increase during holidays
According to the Department of Transportation, the Christmas/New Year’s holiday periods are among the busiest travel periods of the year. With gas prices and airfares still high, megabus.com, the intercity express bus company, is seeing a drastic increase of holiday travelers and is looking forward to an average 25 - 35 percent increase in customers over a typical week throughout their Northeast, Southeast and Midwest network.
