Answering a Letter to the Editor is a departure from my normal charge, but this letter had to be countered, especially on this Memorial Day weekend. I guess I could have answered in the usual Letters column, but decided it was too important to have on the back page.
The Stand Up America US Foundation newsletter, besides our direct emailing to thousands of our subscribers around the world, appears intact and separately in other publications. Several days ago, we received a letter at 2:04 am local time from one of our favorites, Canada Free Press (CFP), in response to our article, Eve of Destruction. CFP is a fabulous medium, spreading love of God, America, and freedom in both America and Canada and, no doubt, around the world.The Comment section of online publications is the new front in the ongoing Cancel Culture Battle.
Big Tech and Big Media are gunning for the Conservative Voice—through their Comment Sections.
Canada Free Press wishes to stay in the fight, and we want our fans, followers, commenters there with us.
We ask only that commenters keep it civil, keep it clean.

Ray, I read this letter you refer to elsewhere (I think it was in Epoch Times) and my gut reaction was exactly as you describe here. Your comment that stands out for me (I'm an ex-military person) is about America not starting any wars but ending both WWs and not taking any territory. That's generously of the highest order. While my country Canada was a wee bit helpful in that endeavor, we were too eager and entered those wars too quickly. So I tell my Canadian friends we are actually more war-mongering than Americans... I think the best about the USA is the fact that most immigrants flock there more than to any other nation in history, and that America used to be Israel's greatest ally hence so blessed. However, sadly, I disagree where you say " but the sleeping giant is quickly awakening
.." I dont see that. I see all western nations falling badly, never to recover until after Christ returns. But thank you, Ray.

I would like to point out something that was written years ago about America. I cannot remember the author so I cannot give proper credit but essentially the point to be made was that America had to be dragged into the World Wars, She is a reluctant participant and the main reason for this reluctance is that WE ARE THE WORLD. Our citizens are a true sampling of every nation on the face of the planet. Our culture is a stew not a melting pot we do not lose our heritage we celebrate it and also being Americans. You can retain pride in your roots that may be across the oceans and still be an American.
So when we fight other nations we are fighting some of our own. We have to at least try to decide on the right position and whether it will support or views of freedom and most of all the idea that those rights which we have are God given, Government is our servant not our master. That is what makes us special and fighting to maintain that single idea is the hardest war to be fought because even here there would be those that want power and see the government as way to seize it.
Our Founders were wise and knew this was the true daily battle that would have to be fought and they tried their best to give us a foundation to stand on. It is not easy to maintain against those enemies within but we do try.
