They didn't have a choice, it was either the rino or the demo so they had to take the rino, who knows, maybe if enough pressure is put on him, without pelosi, he might just become a real Republican. I don't like it either but I began to see that we could not put another demo.....only Father God knows what comes next.

I just watched RINO McCarthy's first speech as the 55th Speaker of the House. It was a good speech. I wonder how much of it he wrote himself...if any. He was a little too smarmy for my liking and, as I watched, I was reminded of that question: "How can you tell if a politician is lying to you??"
As I don't have a hound in this hunt, I felt it was necessary for this to work itself out...and it has. Either way, it's much better than pelosi already.
I don't know what role President Trump will play or should play in the future. Maybe he played a role in the selection of this Speaker.
I'm trying to figure out why President Trump supported RINO McCarthy in the end.
That is my $64 question.

The vote for Speaker was very reminiscent of our last two elections. Decide who to install and just count votes until you get the desired outcome. Moved in to the Speaker's office before he was even elected, guess he was pretty confident. Given McCarthy's complete lack of support for the Trump/MAGA agenda, Trump's support and endorsement of him is inexplicable. Very proud of the few patriots who did stand up and fight!

Hate this atrocity to the point of being downright disgusted about politics. About ready to stop praying about it.
