“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly.”
Friday is the birthday of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the day to honor him is next Monday, two days before Inauguration Day. Yet, the nation does not exist under the same foundation any longer. We are no longer a Constitutional Republic. The tragedy in the looming Inauguration Day, is that the same Party that regularly denied the votes of Black citizens in the South has apparently succeeded in the theft of the election of 2020. The political oppression that Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. fought against in his day in the Deep South has now metastasized; the suppression of the vote has increased in a despicable display of corruption, fraud and manipulation that Americans seem to now accept.
