On the Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. in 2021, Will Justice or Injustice Triumph?

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly.” Friday is the birthday of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the day to honor him is next Monday, two days before Inauguration Day. Yet, the nation does not exist under the same foundation any longer. We are no longer a Constitutional Republic. The tragedy in the looming Inauguration Day, is that the same Party that regularly denied the votes of Black citizens in the South has apparently succeeded in the theft of the election of 2020. The political oppression that Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. fought against in his day in the Deep South has now metastasized; the suppression of the vote has increased in a despicable display of corruption, fraud and manipulation that Americans seem to now accept.

Ironically, in a tragedy of historic proportions, it appears that the injustice of voter suppression that Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. fought against has now been franchised out to other states where the power - hungry state governors are no longer willing to honor the Constitution. Sanctuary cities and states were simply the beginning efforts to ignore the Constitution. A deeper tragedy is that the so-called leaders in this new country, where the Constitution and rule of law no longer matter, have successfully pulled off what will become known in history as one of the greatest election heists in the world. And sadly, it appears that the criminals will be in charge of the nation. Americans are being told that a worse tragedy is one of suppression of free speech by the Big Tech companies. Unfortunately, that is a simple thing compared to losing our right to fair and honest elections. While free speech is a right worth fighting for, and a sacred right, a person’s vote was the only way that free people could express their voice in the political arena. It has just been muted. Free speech? Once elections are no longer truly protected, citizens’ voices that would have some degree of practical impact upon their governance, have been eliminated. So what is going to happen with regard to free speech? The same politicians who were supposed to protect the integrity of national elections are going to be sending out fundraising appeals so that citizens can “help” them protect free speech. It is already starting. They have to be insane. The only thing worse is if citizens buy into the new quest. American citizens have just been stripped of all our rights because now one Party will control the government--there is no such thing as a fair election. It will be a charade. And, we are told to behave ourselves, and forget about injustice.

America has just shifted backward into time. Americans can now feel what is was like for the Black citizens in the old Democrat-controlled South to be told they could not vote were black, or they had to pay a “poll tax,” which was illegal as well as outside of the scope of many poor people’s capability. Americans can now feel what it was like for Black citizens to be intimidated by the KuKluxKlan, which was the way the citizens were controlled in such a culture. What do citizens see as the purpose of Antifa or BLM thugs in our country right now? The job done on January 6 has proven to be masterful manipulation. Now in reality, without the integrity of the election being respected, the election is a political show like a “reality television” show, which is not real. 80 million American citizens may now understand what Rev. Dr. King was fighting for. Now, we have all been disenfranchised. And the ‘leaders’ whom we once trusted are fine with the theft. They are trying to massage our hurt feelings with their words of “healing” and moving on past this unfortunate divisive period. They even wheeled out the Terminator to talk about healing in the nation. The injustice of the past months has now culminated in even more injustice of another charade on Capitol Hill --the impeachment debacle. This is an attempt to politically assassinate President Trump, which has been the objective of the coup all along. It has been reported that Trump avoided yet another physical assassination attempt recently. Except, the battle has not really been about Trump. He is a scapegoat and the target to epitomize or personify the values of the United States of America. The real target has been the Republic for which it stands. And part of that targeting includes the patriots, the conservatives, the Christians or other people of faith. These are the newly targeted and marginalized ones who are deemed second class citizens whose vote needs to be eliminated.

In this absolute injustice, we all can sense what it must have been like for Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as he was put in jail time and time again for simply demanding justice. In his “Letter from Birmingham Jail,” King wrote:

History is the long and tragic story of the fact that privileged groups seldom give up their privileges voluntarily. Individuals may see the moral light and voluntarily give up their unjust posture; but, as Reinhold Niebuhr has reminded us, groups are more immoral than individuals. We know through painful experience that freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed.

In the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s, King and his allies were fighting not just against institutionalized racism embedded in the laws and in the culture of the Democrat Party they had fought against the suppression of their right to vote because therein was the power to bring change to an almost unbearable situation set up under Democrat control of each of the states. Can these American citizens today be so naive as to not see the nation is suffering the same fate as oppressed Blacks under the Democrat control of the “Solid South.” Cowards who refer to themselves as political leaders, who rule over this nation, have betrayed the American people -- they shove one more crime after another down our throats and citizens are told we need to digest it and get over it. On the contrary, this shall not be forgotten. This will not stand. The egregiousness of the injustice calls for citizens to rise up in a new Civil Rights Movement before the election theft settles into precedent. Non-violent civil disobedience is necessary for our silenced voices to be heard once again. It is time for good people of all faiths, of all races, in all groups that seek to preserve freedom, to work together in unity. With the criminals in control, we either join together or we all will join Rev. King in jail with all our precious God-given rights eliminated.
