This September, 2011, the Conservative Government of Canada is “keeping it’s promise” to Canadians, and, finally, extinguishing “the Long Gun Registry”.
Pre-2006 the Conservatives, including and ‘especially’ Garry Breitkreuz, spoke often, publicly, of a complete repeal of ALL of the LIBERAL gun laws, specifically, Bill C-68. This “about face”, or, deception, requires close examination.
One might imagine that a need to be seen as ‘distanced’ from the ‘frightening’ “Canadian gun lobby” has precipitated this watered-down rhetoric.
