Outside VA: Miracle in L.A

Right outside the gates of West Los Angeles VA a miracle has happened! A row of 14x10 tents appeared on the very sidewalk where our Veterans were “welcomed home” by cold asphalt and “tucked in” by indifference. Paraphrasing Bonita´s CA, SCI FI author Charles Diffin (“Two Thousand Miles Below”): Half real they seemed, and half imagined- in coronavirus haze. Why “a miracle?” Well, shameful treatment of Veterans should belong to science-fiction, but in L.A. it´s just hard to face reality.
