I was born the fifth child in a family of 13 kids. My parents were itinerant laborers. I tell people that I grew up “in a blue bus” driven from state to state by my father – and that I “grew up under a bridge.” Those who hear it sometimes think I must be joking. I’m not. God and Jesus?
