The head of a New York City police union has resigned following an FBI raid on the organization’s headquarters as well as the home of Ed Mullins who has headed up the Sergeants Benevolent Association (SBA) since 2002.
On Tuesday, federal agents descended on the union’s Manhattan offices
as well as Mullins’ Long Island home, conducting searches as part of an
investigation of which the purpose remains unclear although, in a
letter sent to members announcing his resignation, the union said that
its now-former president was “apparently the target” of the probe. ---More...
