A close friend and pastor said to me years ago, "Test the spirits." In today's political and social climate, one cannot assume anything. I like to say, 'I believe everything and nothing.' These days, even the most outrageous finds its way to the top. Nothing is at it seems.
Before we descend into the abyss...before we put a billion people in harms way...before we begin letting nukes fly, destroying cities and millions of lives, before we forget what the conflict is all about, shouldn't we take a step back? Shouldn't we put aside the parades, the flag waving, the political speeches, the war lobbyists ready to take orders, the photos and videos of devastation, some taken years ago in another time, or even the videos of rockets rushing towards Ukraine cities captured from computer games that have made their way to our TV screens?

Do you really believe that NATO wants to invade Russia?

Putin's security 'interests' are not based upon a fear of being attacked by NATO, rather the 69 year old KGB colonel wants to bring back the old Soviet Empire--that's it.
Your article DOES give Putin a pass, and based upon your criteria, you would have given Adolph Hitler a pass in the 1930s and 1940s.
Putin has flattened cities in Ukraine filled with civilians--how do you justify that?
Putin is the one making nuclear threats--not the USA.
Canada Free Press needs to speak the truth--and the the truth is that Putin is a red-handed dictator and there is NO EXCUSE for his behavior. Full Stop!
It may be that the West needs to avoid directly engaging Putin's storm troopers directly--but the only reason for that is that it could risk global nuclear war. In a purely conventional war, NATO would crush the Russian military.
The Soviet Empire under Stalin was as brutal as the Nazi empire. Putin is no different than Adolf Hitler.
It is very frustrating to stand back and watch innocent people being crushed by a brutal dictator, and do nothing more than supply arms. The truth is that Putin is evil personified, but we are forced to stay on the sidelines because of a potential nuclear holocaust--never because Putin is justified for his actions.

I'm afraid they, the world leaders, are all in this game together. It's all about domination and control. Trudeau was just a ploy to see how things would go. Starvation has always been the dictators go to scenario and Biden is doing that right now. The grocery shelves may be emptying but you don't even have the gasoline to get there. Most tragically, I concur with much of the postulates described in this 2nd of two articles.
Yes, the Ukrainian people are suffering...but the notorious ly corrupt national government has been "prodded" into this by the same outsourcing of false security and bravado by implications, nuances (maybe even bribes or extortions) between the national governments of the "chief players" of NATO, America and the Western European Allies!
Yes there are those who will violently disagree with this article and my comments. So be it in the rarefied venue of a truly "Freedom Loving CFP.

Very interesting article. Also a side we do not often see. I am 80 years old. I was born in 1941, and had five children. Their mother died of cancer when she was 27, I was34, I raised all the children alone, and the only help I had was a grand mother and my Father. And the best help was The Lord, my creator. It took me awhile to come to grips regarding what happened to my wife. What I see today is Russia killing a lot of innocent people, Men, Women, and children. The destruction is horrendous. Your article sheds a different light on the Russian's. The United States has good people , not all, but some are good, however we have a Government, Not just Democrats but also the Republican RINOIS who are as evil as t gets. Sex changes, selling baby parts and it is against the law to stop them or investigate those people, the ultra rich , and George Soros, the Rothschild Family, are the richest. Look them up. You may be amazed. Last, all this is predicted. What Russia wants is ALL the oil. They also want Alaska back. They will attack Israel, to get the Israel oil. They will make agreements with the Muslim Nations or attack them for the same thing, oil. The Lord in 2 Thessalonians Chapter 2, verses 2-11, 11 mentioning the great delusion that the Lord allows Satan to do. When did it start? Read Genesis Chapter 3:4. Satan tells Eve , And the serpent said unto the woman, ye shall not surely die: Read it. The Great Delusion. Adam ate. they both died, conclusion, that sin caused death in this world, where there was no death. We see the results today in what Russia is doing. I will stop there. There is much, much more I can say or write about.
