I thought I might say a little more about my gardening ideas. Orange County picks up yard clippings each week. They compost them and then give the stuff out free. We have to take our own buckets to fill up with the compost, but I have to imagine that most community governments do something similar at this time. It is truly great soil and so rich in nutrients that it cuts down on the need to fertilize as often. I put out broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage last weekend. I bought the cheaper six packs of veggies at Home Depot and put out 8 of each plant. This will feed my family, my mom and a neighbor.
