"Becerra's former chief of staff and Newsom's former chief of staff have been indicted already. They were involved in this scheme."
They took $10k a month out of Becerra's California campaign account and sent it as a fake fee payment to a consulting firm run by Gavin Newsom's former chief of staff.
Then, that $10k was sent straight out the door to the wife of Becerra's chief of staff. Not only is that breaking California campaign finance law, but it's also breaking federal finance law.
"It is impossible to believe that he didn't know when it was all about him getting his guy to go with him to DC. That's illegal, he broke the law, and they could be about to nominate someone who's going to be indicted within the next few months."
