On Monday, March 21, both Donald Trump and Senator Ted Cruz spoke at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) Policy Conference, described on the AIPAC website as “the largest gathering of the pro-Israel movement.” Trump emphasized his deal-making skills while Cruz gave several examples of his leadership role in supporting Israel as a U.S. Senator. Cruz had the better speech, for he was able to speak immediately after Trump. Cruz was able to ad lib some remarks about Trump’s speech, including an opening remark about Trump’s repeated use of the word Palestine.
