Summer camps charity takes Trudeau Government to court over denial of 2019 Canada Summer Jobs grants


HALIFAX/PETERBOROUGH: A registered charity running summer camps for youth has filed court applications against the federal government after the charity’s applications for 2019 Canada Summer Jobs grants were denied. The charity, BCM (Canada) International, is a registered charitable organization, which runs two summer camps providing recreational and religious programing for youth aged 5 to 18. BCM stands for Bible Centred Ministries. BCM runs one camp at Mount Traber Bible Camp & Retreat Centre located northeast of Halifax. The other, Mill Stream Bible Camp & Retreat Centre, is located near Peterborough, Ontario.
