Democrat women demonstrating their disapproval by their reaction to President Trump's SOTU. The Democrat Party has come to a crossroads. Since the thirties of the last century, they have built their party on the promises typical of a welfare state. The Great Society of the sixties was originally designed by Lyndon Johnson to keep the Black community quiet and voting Democrat. The government handouts, now having accumulated in the trillions, has created a large section of the population accustomed to FREE. Under Obama, Food Stamp recipients increased by 42% (FactCheck) while welfare increased by 41% (Independent Sentinel). By late 2016, the national debt had been doubled. Many Republicans, not wanting to be left out of the vote pile, also participated.
