On March 15, 2019, 28-year-old Brenton Tarrant attacked a mosque and Islamic centre in Christchurch, New Zealand with a semi-automatic rifle; killing 51 and injuring 50. On August 3, 2019, 21-year-old Patrick Crusius attacked a WalMart crowded with Latino shoppers in El Paso, Texas with a semi-automatic rifle; killing 22, injuring 24.
