I wrote this article seven years ago. It is more relevant than ever, with the expansion of the Surveillance State. One of the points of the article: independent investigators can discover a high-level crime---but suppose some monster agency has already “been there,” found that crime, and has used the knowledge to accrue an advantage for itself? Hence the term, meta-crime.

Being old now has let me see all this taking place. I knew when I was in business and they wanted then demanded small businesses go computerized "saving precious paper and trees", (which they now destroy happily to put up non-recyclable wind turbines, already piling up in dumps along with batteries). Yes the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, "they" will make sure, if our eyes were open we would have seen this all set up.
Great article as always. That is why they want all of our money to be digital it is easier for them.
