“A flood cannot put out love. Rivers cannot drown love. Would people despise a man for giving everything he owns for love?” (Song of Solomon 8:7 ERV).
This is a love song: a song about how the Almighty God used a series of extraordinary circumstances to bring the most amazing woman into a disillusioned man’s life in such a miraculous way. No, it is not a summary of the 1971 book and movie by the same name (‘Trust’, 2016). Like the book and the movie of the same name, the story is a sort of “coming of age” for two strangers who found themselves in the middle of God’s miraculous work. Unlike the book and the movie, there was no premarital encounter. Neither was there a one-night stand, followed by the disappearance of the young man’s love interest (Trust, 2016).
