TORONTO, Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) today reported sales of 9,051 Toyota, Lexus and Scion cars, trucks and SUVs in January 2011, down 1.6% from a year earlier. Highlights for the month include a 2.8% increase in car sales, led by accelerating demand for Toyota's core, Canadian-built models, the new 2011 Toyota Corolla and Toyota Matrix. Also, with the addition of Scion, January 2011 Toyota sales have surpassed sales for the same period last year.
