Liberal Heritage Minister Pablo Rodriguez announced the Trudeau Liberals' second bill that will dramatically alter internet freedoms for Canadians, this time in the form of Bill C-18; The "Online News Act." According to the government of Canada's website, the bill will "ensure that major digital platforms fairly compensate news publishers for their content and enhance fairness in the Canadian digital news marketplace, including the sustainability of independent local news businesses."-- More...
