Trump Vows to Designate Antifa as a Terrorist Organization

After days of bloody rioting and looting across America, the U.S. government “will be designating ANTIFA as a Terrorist Organization[,]” President Donald Trump announced on Twitter. The tweet came after Antifa, Democratic Socialists of America, Black Lives Matter, and other America-hating radical leftist groups seized on the opportunity of the May 25 death of George Floyd, a black man who perished after then-Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin pressed his knee into the suspect’s neck for almost 9 minutes, an event captured on video that quickly went viral. The in-custody death video became a recruiting tool for agitators.
