Washington Governor Bob Ferguson Wants to Give Planned Parenthood Millions to Kill Babies

President Donald Trump’s much-touted “Big, Beautiful Bill” originally included a provision to defund abortion giant Planned Parenthood for a whole decade. By the time the legislation made it through both chambers of Congress and landed on the president’s desk, however, that provision had been significantly pared down to only one year without Medicaid funding. But that’s still too long for the brand-name abortion industry flagship to go without taxpayer dollars, according to one state governor.

Washington’s Governor Bob Ferguson (D), who was elected to the office last year, announced this week that he intends to make up for soon-to-be missing federal Medicaid funding for Planned Parenthood with state funds. “This is a blatantly political, cruel attack on reproductive rights — a common theme within the Trump Administration,” Ferguson said in a statement.
