“Stay in your lane” is an expression that means someone should “stick with what they know.” More bluntly stated it means, “mind your own business.”
Back in 2020, the professional football team in Washington D.C. came under fire (again) for its nickname, which at the time was the Redskins. This caused the woke left to lose their minds. Never mind, that “Redskins” had been the team nickname since 1933 when the team played in Boston, (they moved to Washington in 1937) in 2020 it was eliminated by “cancel culture” and for two seasons the team was simply known as the “Washington Football Team.” In 2022 the team changed the name to Commanders and has suffered under that moniker since.
The Comment section of online publications is the new front in the ongoing Cancel Culture Battle.
Big Tech and Big Media are gunning for the Conservative Voice—through their Comment Sections.

I stopped watching football when it was demanded that there be more black quarterbacks and coaches and then there was. Now terrible teams play other terrible teams.
Racism of the worst sort. Right in your face.

I read that the term applies to a certain group of Native Americans living on the east coast of the USA that applied ocher to their faces to which the early explorers called them "Redskins," a term that does NOT apply to ALL Native Americans.

Native Americans lived in the vicinity of what is now Cleveland so no problem that the team is called the Cleveland Indians.
