The truckers from across the province honked their way past supporters, many of whom waved placards that called for everything from pipeline approvals to the overhaul of Canada’s equalization formula. “This is worse than the 1980s, dollar for dollar, because of inflation,” said Kelly Linde, who has been a trucker and farmer for 25 years and made the trip to the rally because, he said, when the oil and gas industry suffers, so do truckers.
