We are the Storm

“Fate whispers to the warrior, 'You cannot withstand the storm.' The warrior whispers back, 'I am the storm.'” ~ Unknown *

In my youth, I was a bona fide warrior for the United States Army. I served in Vietnam in 1966 and 1967 as a teenaged combat helicopter pilot with Headquarters and Headquarter Company of the 1^st Brigade, of the 1^st Cavalry Division (Airmobile). For most of that year, I flew low level reconnaissance as an OH-13S Scout pilot. Our scout mission was the same as horse cavalry scouts in the 19^th century; look for and find the enemy. We were the storm in our time and place.
