We are the Storm

“Fate whispers to the warrior, 'You cannot withstand the storm.' The warrior whispers back, 'I am the storm.'” ~ Unknown *

In my youth, I was a bona fide warrior for the United States Army. I served in Vietnam in 1966 and 1967 as a teenaged combat helicopter pilot with Headquarters and Headquarter Company of the 1st Brigade, of the 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile). For most of that year, I flew low level reconnaissance as an OH-13S Scout pilot. Our scout mission was the same as horse cavalry scouts in the 19th century; look for and find the enemy. We were the storm in our time and place.

Fifty-seven years later I find myself a different kind of warrior, a senior citizen, yet still a warrior. I am now a warrior for Christianity and a warrior for the United States Constitution. As several of the Founding Fathers were senior citizens 247 years ago and chose to fight for the Constitution and Christian values, I have chosen to participate in the fight for Christianity and the Constitution today. My warrior tools in Vietnam were a helicopter, a fellow crew member, a machine gun, hand grenades, and the attitude of an immortal warrior. My warrior tools today are an inspiration from God, a keyboard, my editor wife, and publications like the Canada Free Press. I have whispered back to fate that I am the storm.

However, I am but a small storm. The Canada Free Press family, others like us, and all Christians and patriotic Constitution-loving American patriot warriors are the real storm. While the evil agents of Satan in the American government are whispering to us warriors, “You cannot withstand the storm.” Patriotic American Christian warriors whisper back, “We are the storm, and we are coming for you.”

As America’s Christians and patriots, we must be the storm of our time.

Know God, know liberty. No God, no liberty.

Steve Rossiter——

After a 55 year career as a professional pilot in the military, in law enforcement, in the private sector, and in federal civil service, I am now retired.

In many of these positions I repeatedly took an oath to defend the United States Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.
