We Made It!

We made it! We made it safely down to beautiful Nova Scotia over some 1,700 long miles! The sea-bound coast of Nova Scotia is where I grew up and where I really want to be. The Atlantic Ocean, the soothing sound of its waves breaking on shore, the tangy smell of salt water breezes, has been calling me during all my many decades away from it. “I’ve never seen the ocean,” owner of Goderich’s ‘The Book Peddler’ Camilla Keipr wistfully told me when I popped in to pick up a few books to take along with me on CFP’ re-location to Nova Scotia, which I jokingly called, “Getting Out of Dodge.”

Judy, you are so right ... the East Coast IS heaven-like. There is nothing in the world like Atlantic mists rolling in with the waves. Nothing compares to watching the lightning over the water during a thunderstorm. Then, the next morning, nothing like the clear, clean and crisp air that unwaveringly follows in the wake of a storm.
"To stand at the edge of the sea, to sense the ebb and flow of the tides, to feel the breath of a mist moving over a great salt marsh, to watch the flight of shore birds that have swept up and down the surf lines of the continents for untold thousands of years, to see the running of the old eels and the young shad to the sea, is to have knowledge of things that are as nearly eternal as any earthly life can be." .... Rachel Carson

I'm so happy and grateful to know you, Brian and that lovely, adorable dog made it safely, you have no idea how relieved I am to know you're where you should be and I hope Brian loves it too. Much love to both and of course, your little four legged darling.~~~~~~~~~~~Totsy

Glad to see you made it safely! Good to see your pal there, too. I so appreciate your work and am grateful that the folks to the North get it and are watching so carefully for our nation. I remember, still, what turned out to be the 8-year countdown till the end of the Obama administration: 4 years, first, in anticipation that he'd be a one-term President. Thank you Judi and CFP
