No, we didn't and would never have voted for these changes, which is why they're being forced on us. Our population is out of control and we need 3 Earths now to sustain it without destroying any of them, but we only have one. We are a violent race, divided by politics, religion and social mores, and armed with nuclear weapons. So the division has to end, national sovereignty has to end, and the population has to be diminished if humanity is to survive itself. We must be brought under control whether we like it or not. There's far too many of us with too much dangerous power for the sort of freedom we used to have when there was a lot less of us.
We abuse power, it corrupts us immediately and a future Global government may prove tyrannical, but it would end war and keep our numbers in check until some hoped for day when we can live together peacefully and be happy.

Religions are one of the many problems we have in getting along with each other and until we manage to stop preaching, proselytizing and persecuting each other over our beliefs in unprovable supernatural claptrap, the rapes and murders will continue. God never created religions. We did. That's why there's so many of them, all loaded with people in robes and fancy hats demanding we give them power over our lives. To Jerry who said" God never created religions." True, but I quoted Gods Word. I even gave the chapter and verse. I took the authors conversation concerning "who voted for this" and directed it to the spiritual outcome of this earth according to the Bible/Gods Word. The author was speaking about the third world government and spiritually God is talking about the third heaven and the third earth according to his word. Looking for that day would be a victory compared to the frustration we all have waiting for justice on this earth.

There is no "God's word". There's a book compiled from ancient letters and other writings by those who called themselves "bishops" in the 3rd Century for the purpose of unifying the disparate and disagreeing Christian churches under one mutual doctrine. These writings were all chosen after much argument and many were rejected as not adhering to the generally preferred doctrine. Their veracity was less important than how they supported that doctrine. "Bible" is a word for a compendium of knowledge. It's not specific to Christianity and it's not sacred. Claims of having heard God speak are still being made today and are just as unfounded on fact as they've always been. The big draw for Christianity is the false promise of coming back to life in a new body and living forever in a paradise. The bid draw in Islam is the threat of death if you don't believe and the freedom to conjugate with goats, boys and 7 year old girls, plus eternity in a paradise with 72 virgin girls and 27 pretty boys if you die fighting for Islam. Islam means submission, by the way, and Allah is the god of deception, torture and death. Each of these insane faiths has about 1.5 billion adherents.

"The Bible is God's only Word for man and is not a contrivance of men ...". Really! You can prove this in some way? Or do we have to just take your word for it? See, this is the problem with blind fanaticism. No matter how impossible and unprovable, True Believers will die rather than see that their beliefs are merely their opinions. This is why Muslims have no problem murdering "infidels", often in horrible ways. Because their religion tells them that they're serving their god by doing so.
At least Christians are no longer burning people to death, but believing in the 3000-5000 year old hysterical delusions of crazy people and that you don't die when you die, is still not real sane.
I would personally have no problems with Christians if they weren't all such self-righteous hypocrites. Jesus told them to NEVER pray in public and display that righteousness, so what do they do? They hold mass public prayer meetings. Go read Mathew 6-6 where he says to go in your room and lock the door when you pray.
Christians believe all sorts of things and disagree and fight with each other over trivial nonsense, commit terrible acts against others and then get all "square with God" by asking forgiveness, and then keep on doing the same crooked, conniving things. True honesty is inborn and does not come from any religion.

Jerry's animosity toward Christianity and the Scriptures is a bit shocking. The problem with people not getting along is so many of us do not accept the absolutes of truth. Too many people think there are different versions of truth. There are not.

My main comment towards Jerry's attitude is that no one dies willingly for a lie. Paul was beheaded, Matthew was killed by the sword. Mark was dragged by horses through the streets until he was dead. Peter was crucified. Andrew was crucified on an X-shaped cross, but stayed alive for two more days, and continued to preach anyway. Thomas was stabbed with a spear. James was beheaded in Jerusalem. Bartholomew, also known as Nathaniel, was flayed to death by a whip. There are thousands upon thousands of similar stories.

They knew Christ and saw with their own eyes. They didn't die in vain.

I have found a lot of people lately who have been brought up with man made religion in other words taking Gods Words and making it into their own private interpretation which of course creates an arguement and a division in the body of Christ called "The Church". This is nothing new. The church of the Navelites argued over whether Adam had a navel or not thus creating a new church. Mr gerrymandering's concerns and hate is over religion and man made doctrines putting him into what is called "the gall of bitterness". I believe he is fed up with it and our government. But he as others that throw the baby out with the bath water so to speak and deny God almighty and making himself a god, a little god with no justice in this world and in any world to come. He spoke some truth. God did not make religion, religion is man made doctrine and causes a lot of division.
The Pharisees a very religous group prayed in the open and made themselves to look thin as in fasting often and Jesus Christ many times called them hypocrites and Christ reminded us that when we pray, pray in a closet and not in front of everyone so you look good. Christ made us a whole new creation, God in Christ in us.Our natural man (body of flesh) is to be put away daily. Paul spoke of this and the war raging between our ears to keep our thought above and not on this earth and to separate ourselves from our citizenship on earth and our new citizenship which is in heaven. This is a daily walk. Mr gerrymandering has trouble believing that the message of a whole new creation given by Christ Jesus doesn't and could not exist in a natural man of just body and soul life therefore he has thrown out the message and the messenger Jesus Christ along with Christs father God Almighty.To me it is sad, very sad because"It is Written" first in the stars, then in the scriptures and then by Jesus Christ.

Shocking, Ray? What's shocking is that you say no one dies willingly for a lie when the Apostles you mention were martyred for their faith and their faith is a lie, Just because you and others believe it to be true does not make it true. This is where religious fanaticism and common sense part company. What you believe, is ONLY BELIEF.
People who believe in religious doctrines, in gods and demons, spirits and souls and impossible promises of streets of gold and the dead rising, are no different from those who swear the Earth is flat. Even tho the evidence to the contrary is everywhere, that changes nothing for them. There is nothing much more powerful than the belief that we get to live forever in a paradise. What a hard thing to turn away from and accept that death is final. It was hard for me, that's a fact, but honesty, truth, reality and plain common sense won out. Believing is not knowing and it never will be.

Behold Sfischer the Junior Psychologist and religious fanatic who know everything and is never wrong, aka Just One More Hypocrite.
No, I don't actually hate religions, hate is an ugly emotion and a burden I don't carry. I'm just speaking the truth, which you obviously hate and can't accept, so you impugn that on me.
Religions disgust me, in the same way as the stench from rotting garbage. It's an instinctive aversion. The worst one today is Islam with it's love of blood and death, but Christianity was the same, in fact the Koran is based on the Old Testament. Isn't it strange that the most Jew-hating creed on the planet was derived from Jewish scripture!
My problem with religions is that they don't bring people closer to God with the truth, they lead them far away from ever having direct communion with God by lying their asses off and calling it Sacred Doctrine.
God never created any religion, as I previously stated. We did, we humans came up with all the rigamarole, rituals and abracadabra, the special robes and fancy hats and symbols and genuflecting. You worship a dead Jew who rode an # and preached poverty by surrounding yourselves with stained glass windows and gold trim.and you see nothing anomalous about that.
There is a God, I know this personally. I'm not an atheist. It's the knowing as opposed to the believing that tells me that all religions are false.
