Outfits like Harvard's Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies and Stanford's Center for Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies employ 50 to 100 PhDs each. Combined with Ukrainian Studies faculties, NATO's legion of Russia-stalking professors numbers 2,000+.

The history of the whole of Europe from way back is an interesting topic. It has always been terribly confused and every writer has a different view of what has been and is positive it is exactly right when there are so different views and changing countries and populations in so many wars from long ago. Thank you for this very interesting article, history is never ever simple.
