What have Santa Claus, Frosty the Snowman, It’s a Wonderful Life, roasting chestnuts, hippos, hula hoops, and barking dogs got to do with Christmas? They may bring warmth to our hearts. They may bring a smile to our lips. Or they may make us groan. Whatever they do to each of us, what they all have in common is that they’re glued to Christmas like barnacles to the hull of the Good Ship Lollipop. They’re the accumulated cultural baggage that increasingly obscures the real meaning of a revolutionary blessed event under the camouflage of a socially acceptable winter break.

My thoughts exactually!! My Christmas decorations since I was old enough to hang them outside has never been anything but ones depicting His birth. Manger, angel, star, bright lights to depict The Light of the World. I cringe at what people put up to celebrate something that is not Christmas. Sad!!!

What is Christmas without Christ by Dr. Owens is an article that should be 'ultra highlighted'. It is so VERY true. I am even astonished at how many churches are not having services this Sunday, because it is Christmas!

It's not surprising that the world is rejecting Christ. The church itself has become so corrupt by compromising with the world. The sacred hymns has been replaced by secuar sensual pop and even demonic rock music, the gospel has been watered down to that OSAS (Once Saved Always Saved) license to sin, even replaced with false gospels like the prosperity gospel. People are now unable to endure sound doctrine so wolves in sheep clothing are now preaching fables: the free air ticket to heaven called the pre-tribulation rapture fable. Instead of being the light and the the salt of the world, these vile entertainment addicted Christians-by-name church-goer are become darkness and poison. So do not be surprised if the world also turns to the Santa Claus fable.
