Whistleblower: Bank of America Provided FBI with List of Customers’ Purchases – Republicans Launch Probe
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jordan and Subcommittee on the Administrative State, Regulatory Reform, and Antitrust Chairman Massie direct the Bank of America CEO to provide documents and information relating to their inquiry by June 8, 2023
On Thursday, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Thomas Massie (R-KY) announced that they sent a letter to Bank of America (BoA) CEO Brian Moynihan demanding information and communications between BoA, the FBI, and the Department of Justice related to the events of January 6, 2021.
Last week, the House Judiciary Committee and Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government released a report highlighting whistleblower testimony claiming that BoA provided the FBI—voluntarily and without any legal process—with a list of individuals who had made transactions in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area with a BoA credit or debit card between January 5 and January 7, 2021. ---More...
