White House Invites Americans To Pray

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Amidst growing spiritual darkness, unprecedented murder, and political violence in America, the Trump White House has encouraged Americans to dedicate one hour a week to pray for the nation. The “America Prays” initiative, part of the “Salute to America 250 Task Force,” reminds Americans in the lead-up to the celebration of 250 years of American Independence that the nation was founded, and has been sustained, through prayer.

President Donald Trump unveiled the initiative July 3, 2025 stating, “As we prepare to celebrate two and a half centuries of freedom, I am inviting America’s great religious communities to pray for our nation and for our people. From the beginning, this has always been a country sustained and strengthened by prayer … So, as we chart our course for the next 250 years, let us rededicate ourselves to one nation under God.”
