Who exactly is Ukraine’s Commander-In-Chief?

In monarchies, the Monarch is Commander-in-Chief of armed forces. In republics these duties fall upon presidents, as per Article II, Section 2, Clause 1 of the US Constitution. Ukraine, a supposed republic, follows suit. Pursuant to Article 106, Section 17, of Ukraine’s Constitution, the President:

“Is the Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine”

Zelensky is the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He's a leader - not a warfighter.

A reasonable explanation, IMHO, of the Ukrainian strategy in holding in the East, at substantial loss of soldiers, is explained in this article posted elsewhere. I respectfully recommend it to the author.

CFP: Communist Fake Propaganda, offers us YET ANOTHER hit piece on Zelensky, full of derisive name calling and empty of anything else. Yes. Zelensky was a comedian at one time, I don't know if it was a full time job or not and don't care. Harry Truman, who took over from FDR, was a SHOE SALESMAN who finished leading us through World War 2.

Let's all remember that Canada calls itself "Socialist" but has clearly gone beyond that now.

Legit point, but it seems almost incomprehensible that the Ukrainian General Staff would allow Zelensky to make such bad decisions on their behalf. They may be prepping a coup. I hate speculating.

I find this website fairly openminded and I've never been to make sweeping assertions based on one article.

Proof is not the same as evidence. Evidence of Nazism in the Ukraine Armed Forces abounds. A Google search will give you plenty. One of my pet peeves is the number of times I've watched "mainstream" Ukrainian news vids wherein they start out credible but then descend into the worst anti-Russian gutter racism - calling them Orcs, reptiles etc.

The point about Zelensky is that if you didn't know about his storied career as a comic which led to his presidency you really don't know anything about the man at all.

The article does in fact point out mistakes Zelensky is making by sending fresh troops into hopeless situations. Many pundits, including his allies, have complained about these decisions which defy common sense.

The point about Harry Truman is that I don't know squat about his career as a shoe salesman or how he rose to become our president but I do know that he did a great job leading us through the rest of World War 2, and the point about you is that your opinion clearly matters far more to you than any pesky facts, such as that good, successful comedians have to be very sharp witted and able to see aspects of situations that most of us cannot, get different takes and wider possibilities, and then startle us with these views. That's why we laugh. Because they show us reality.
These are the same qualities respected in good tacticians.
So far, under Zelensky's presidency, the 3-day takeover of Ukraine has lasted over a year and cost the Russians massively in lives lost, including many dead generals, materiel destroyed, and the world view of Russian might itself reduced to rubble.
Yet you keep insisting that he's a loser, and incompetent. That you know better what he's doing than he does, in spite of his successes. I must conclude that either you're a Russian propagandist or you actually do think that you would do better in his place. I can find no other reasons for attacking him instead of praising him for his successes. But I'm sure you will correct me since you are always right.
