In a joint public statement, New York Democrat Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jamaal Bowman, have, in effect, categorized the deaths of some 10,000 elderly people, who died by dint of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo having issued an order demanding nursing homes to take in COVID-positive patients, as an “also”, an “etc.” and an after thought in the attention-getting Cuomo sexual harassment scandal.
“There is also the extensive report from the Attorney General that found the Cuomo administration hid data on COVID-19 nursing home deaths from both the public and the state legislature," the statement from Ocasio-Cortez and Bowman said.” (Fox News, March 12, 2021)
As despicable and horrendous as the allegations of sexual harassment against Cuomo are, surely the fate of the elderly under his administration during the pandemic deserve more than a footnote “ALSO”!The Comment section of online publications is the new front in the ongoing Cancel Culture Battle.
