2012 Outback: Subaru announces pricing for all-wheel drive icon

TORONTO, - Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) is pleased to announce 2012 pricing for the award-winning Subaru Outback—the rugged yet refined vehicle that defined a whole new category of utility vehicle. ALG named Outback the Best Mid-Size Utility Vehicle in the most recent Canadian Residual Value Awards, predicting that Outback will continue to lead its class in every way, including retained value.

Carry-over models enter the new model year at the same price as the previous year's models, and a slightly revised lineup adds a new 2.5i Touring package with automatic dual zone climate control, and a Limited Package for the 2.5i and 3.6R with a new Pioneer touchscreen navigation, smartphone integration, and an upgraded audio system. In fact the 2.5i Limited and the 3.6 Limited are $1400 and $1300 less than last year's similarly equipped models. Prices include the following:
  • Outback 2.5i Convenience (6-speed manual transmission) $28,995
  • Outback 2.5i Convenience (CVT) $30,195
  • Outback PZEV (CVT) $30,895
  • Outback 2.5i Touring Package (6-speed manual transmission) $31,595
  • Outback 2.5i Touring Package (CVT) $32,795
  • Outback 2.5i Limited (CVT) $36,695
  • Outback 3.6R (5-speed automatic with Manual Mode) $35,495
  • Outback 3.6R Limited (5-speed automatic with Manual Mode) $39,495
