9 Winning Security Issues

Trump delivered his much anticipated, 10-point immigration policy speech on the last day of August, a little more than nine weeks out from Tuesday, November 8, 2016. Given his triumphant and unexpected summit meeting, earlier the same day, with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto, one would expect the content of Trump's immigration speech to dominate the American news cycle for days to come. To an over-flowing, passionate crowd in Phoenix, including many who have themselves been the victims of violent crimes committed by illegal aliens, Trump ticked off a litany of financial, crime and demographic statistics. The avowed purpose: to prove the de facto Obama/Hillary open border policy is neither sustainable nor even remotely safe.
Worth remembering here, the word 'immigration' engenders a visceral, negative reaction from millions of Democratic voters, particularly the propaganda-fed millennial youth who, it must be said, are the predictable offspring of forty years of left-wing public education demagoguery. In sum, to discuss immigration policy at all is, by their yardstick, to establish your bona fides as an all-out racist. As such, he may well have ensnared himself in what appears to be a no-win scenario before the mainstream press, who have predictably rendered such commentary xenophobic, reminiscent of a modern-day Father Coughlin, and unreasonably inflammatory. While immigration is clearly the preeminent election issue for many conservative voters forced to live their lives within an ever-increasing deterioration and decimation of traditional American culture, it is decidedly not a front page issue for traditional Democratic voters. Oddly, we forever find them clinging to the Democratic playbook: Education, Social Justice, Political Experience and Diversity somehow compelling the pulling of a Hillary lever. In other words, for millions of Americans, the literal, knee-jerk reaction is to vote for a candidate who espouses free college, 'social justice' for the downtrodden, and a celebration of the multiple and ever-growing anti-Western cultures which, like the European downfall, will soon be indelibly sewn into the American quilt. A wise and cagey Trump needs to immediately grab the attention of and win a decent percentage of young millennial votes. The significant question is how--a good start would be to forevermore excise the word 'immigration' from any and all stump speeches, appearances and policy statements, including but not limited to any debates.

We need to pull one small page from the liberal playbook, and it cannot be overemphasized: we win, you lose. In the long run, it does not matter how, as it is too late to play gentlemen's rules against someone who can hardly be called a lady. Trump's unerring mission is to counter the non-stop and prolific message sold nationwide by liberal professors, public 'feel-good' agencies, and government-backed multinational corporations, that Americans should be ashamed to support any pro-American candidate, much less a white male. By contrast, in our guts, Americans have a roiling feeling that the country they grew up in is on the brink of extinction and ruination. To this end, the promotion of 'self-preservation' is the commonality existing between all races in the United States, extending beyond all age groups, economic strata and gender. Trump needs to focus, in the controlled and disciplined manner of the past weeks, on a common sense response to the Obama/Hillary 'let's destroy and remake America' cabal. Sometimes conservatives forget what it means to 'win.' The Trump campaign must fight for and actually convince a decent slice of the youth electorate, the 'millennials,' by taking the fight to them on college campuses. If Trump is uncomfortable with this demographic, he can start out speaking from a conservative school or two, and then work his way up to a big government, city institution. Schools in swing states like UNC-Chapel Hill, Ohio State University, the University of Pennsylvania (his alma mater), Florida State, University of Virginia, and the Colorado School of Mines need to be on his radar. Trump fans will make the trek to an auditorium or outdoor tent on a college campus to get a glimpse of their hope for restoring America's cultural, military and economic hegemony. Insecure and naïve students, inundated, almost hourly, with anti-Trump messaging, need their courage bolstered with the presence of Trump himself and his passionate supporters. Once there, hammer it home, over and over--law and order--a precept that all Americans must respect the laws under which generations have lived prosperously for hundreds of years. Reiterate the uniquely American message of prosperity, strength, and safety. If forced to, Trump can occasionally go off-message to make a joke, but he needs to keep his themes tight and well-scripted. His opponent has been hiding from Americans under her huge, foreign-financed, Wall Street insiders' Clinton Foundation gold-plated desk for nine months now. Why? To avoid any type of substantive pronouncements on this issue for fear of saying the wrong thing. It is on this firm footing that Trump can exemplify his indisputable superiority over Hillary as the law and order candidate. Every week, over the next nine weeks, Trump could take a specific national security issue and repeat, repeat, repeat his stance, among the swing state educational institutions, until it becomes exasperating. Paraphrasing Mr. Mencken, no one in the 21stCentury will ever go broke underestimating the political sophistication of the great masses of millennials.

Secure the Border

As Trump noted, a nation without borders is not a nation. America must construct a comprehensive and modernphysical barrier on the southern border. This should incorporate state-of-the-art radar systems, above-ground sensors, below-ground sensors, numerous guard towers and helicopters . The enlistmentand professionalization of a reenergized U.S. Coast Guard will further stymie illegal entry via waterways. This should be a consistent refrain until the day of the election: aTrump administration will stave off, literally, tens of thousands ofunknown and undocumentedforeigners who sneakinto the United States each and every month.

Decimate the Heroin Trade

The heroin crisis that currently far surpasses the use of cocaine and meth in the United States will be fought across national lines. Trump's administration should confirm they will be willing to spread their tentacles as far as necessary to eviscerate the Mexican cartels and the Southeast Asian, Balkan and Afghan pipelines that currently funnel heroin into the U.S. He has increased credibility on this issue, as President Nieto has already pledged to partner with a Trump Administration to wipe out drug cartels. Furthermore, any individual evidence of CIA, state or local officers involved in drug trafficking will be prosecuted and severely punished, pursuant to federal laws.

Support Local Law Enforcement

Federal law enforcement agencies will begin to clear out and identify sanctuary cities. At the same time, they will work with state and local agencies to speed up background checks for gun sales, act on local tips regarding drug trafficking, bust international gangs, train local officers in counter-terrorism measures, and significantly increase their footprint at federal refugee centers, many of which were thrust into states over their vehement protestations.

Tighten up Entry Visas

A full-scale audit of current and overstay visas will generate a comprehensive watch list of foreigners both on vacation or studying in America's schools. Deportation of foreigners on over-stay visas will be coupled with fines, to be incurred by the respective home countries of foreign nationals. Laws will be proposed to Congress to limit the naturalization of foreign nationals who abuse their visa privileges. New requirements for sponsorship will be developed for extended foreign visas, and those deported shall be returned to their country or origin, and under no circumstances shall they remain in the United States should their home country indicate they do not wish to take them back.

Curtail Cash Benefits for Illegal Aliens

Any direct financial support of illegal aliens will be eliminated, whether in the form of a housing subsidy, earned income tax credit, SNAP EBT card, social security benefits, disability payments or federal education grants, pursuant to federal law. As with the visa programs, full-scale audits of means-tested grants shall generate lists of illegal aliens to be deported for fraud, which shall be performed by the responsible federal agencies in swift and timely fashion.

Halt the Financing of Illegal Aliens' Education

Trump's immigration speech on August 31st addressed the fundamental stupidity and unfairness in stealing Americans' tax monies from them to provide preference for illegal aliens over their own children. Federal funding for educational programs that support illegal alien students will cease. Increased English language and Civic courses will be available nationwide for all Americans of all ages, races and genders. Comprehensive audits will be conducted to ensure adherence to the restrictive use of federal dollars to solely benefit American students. Federal funding of international student exchange programs for exemplary students based on academic merit will help build friendships and understanding across countries. State and local agencies will begin to and receive professional training so that they may manage their own K-12 educational programs without blustering federal oversight.

Listen to Business & Citizen Watchdogs

An Ombudsman Office will be created where business owners and citizens can report issues of concern for follow-up by involved agencies. The scope of services to be investigated will be broad and offer citizens the opportunity to report negative encounters with election fraud, stolen social security numbers, drug trafficking, unfair labor practices, unequal enforcement of federal laws and incompetent bureaucrats without fear of reprisal. Until the I.R.S. cleans up the more than 1 million stolen social security numbers and the rampant fraud that leads to the gifting of an estimated 24 percent of erroneous earned income tax credits, American businesses cannot be burdened with a federally intrusive E-Verify system. Government must first heal thyself.

Strengthen Partnerships with Foreign States

NATO Alliance members as well as other nation-states will be actively courted to develop strong military and economic partnerships, which will clearly prove mutually beneficial. The enforcement of bilateral, as opposed to multilateral agreements, will help the United States secure targeted concessions and develop more meaningful relationships with interested nation-states. A reinvigorated Foreign Service will recruit grateful and 'proud to be American' diplomats from top-tier universities, seeking to avoid the 'one world Global citizens,' currently the product of non-stop, professorial, liberal propagandists unleashed on American campuses and government bureaucracies throughout our country over the past forty years.

Stop the Spread of Nuclear Weapons

Economic sanctions and diplomatic pressure will be actively and dramatically pursued to reverse the Obama/Hillary doctrine, which appears uniquely designed to dismantle and/or disrupt the world's economy and peace. Obviously, the Obama/Hillary State Department has done nothing but actually hasten Iran's trajectory in acquiring functional nuclear weapons. Along these lines, all diplomatic avenues will be pursued to ensure thatNorth Korean missile tests will be halted, emphasizing increased and pointed discussions between and among both the Chinese government and the United Nations--in that order. All U.S. company sales of weapons to foreign nations will be reviewedfor their strategic and international efficacy, andall currently non-contractedsales will be prohibited. Simultaneously, through various media outlets, Trump should let loose a barrage of negative Hillary ads (e.g., highlighting the approval of the Uranium One transfer to Russians, the revelation of undercover names of CIA agents, the failure to disclose 1,100 foreign donations, the sacrifice of American foreign service officers at the Libyan consulate in Benghazi, the intimidation of rape victim Juanita Broderick, the public trashing of Monica Lewinsky, the theft of White House furnishings, the lies told under oath, the greed associated with her public speeches, etc.), thus providing a legitimate counterbalance to Trump's prescriptive message. While Trump remains positive and on message until November 8th, he can empower his 'surrogates,' the passionate voters who already support him, to encourage voters on the fence, and give them courage to publicly support him. He must recognize that young millennials are especially impressionable and easily intimidated by collegiate faculty, late-night television hosts and trendy social media campaigns. Having provided a detailed immigration policy/procedure should he be elected, Trump can now discreetly, but firmly, severely limit any 'immigration' talk and take steps necessary to resonate with the nine specific national security issues, as set forth above. There are nine key swing states. By enhancing his message weekly and emphasizing through all media avenues that he is clearly the law-and-order candidate, Trump gives himself a very good chance to, not only frustrate the pollsters, but win the margin necessary to become President of the United States.
