No more representative government

There is no longer even the pretense of representative government in Washington, DC.

We are living under a dictatorship and most people don't even realize it. Ask yourself, what has Congress done for me lately? Some individual Congress men and women have tried but the body has a whole has abdicated their responsibilities. We have plenty of evidence that passage of ObamaCare was bought and paid for and that the 2012 election was won based on lies. We see cover-ups of serious national security breaches with Benghazi, Fast and Furious and Wikileaks. We see attempted or actual elimination of the Constitutional Rights of citizens with the surveillance of our emails and phone calls. We see the manipulation of the information we receive through the media. We see the preferential treatment afforded some religions and the denial of other religions to practice as they see fit. Above all else, we are presented daily with more evidence of lies emanation from the White House or, if you prefer, orchestrated by the White House. The latest example, the falsifying of unemployment numbers prior to the 2012 election should surprise no one. Fearful that the 8.1 unemployment rate would cause him problems during his reelection bid, the number magically dropped just before the election. The biggest monthly drop in 9 years. Now we find out the numbers were fudged. This is a bloodless coup (so far). And we are letting it happen. John Bryant Rotonda West, FL
